Buck Watts
Buck Watts was elected to the Legislature of Prince Edward Island in the provincial election held on May 28, 2007 and was re-elected on October 3, 2011.
A Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly, he represents the constituency of Tracadie - Hillsborough Park. A unique riding comprised of both urban and rural elements.
He is a member of the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environment, Energy and Forestry; Standing Committee on Fisheries, Transportation and Rural Development; and is Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts. Buck also serves as a member of the Policy Board.
Buck is a life-long resident of Grand Tracadie. He was a successful fisherman and businessman and is well known as a community volunteer. He was the co-founder and Chair of the Grand Tracadie Community Council and played an integral part in building a baseball diamond and hockey rink in his community. He helped make the P.E.I. Fisherman’s Association a stronger organization assisting and supporting fishers in the industry. He is also an Honourary Member of the Canadian Council of Professional Fish Harvesters.
Buck lives in Grand Tracadie with his wife Margie. They have three grown children, Stephen, Kim and Jason along with grandchildren, Alex, Kaylee, Josh, Jared, and Nolan.

The Liberal team has worked to strengthen our economy and provide quality education and healthcare to all Islanders. I am proud to be part of the Liberal team that:
- COMPLETED dredging operations at Winter River, Winter Bay, and Tracadie Harbour
- INCREASED funding for the Winter River and Tracadie Bay Watershed Group
- EXPANDED the Cancer Treatment Centre at the QEH including a second linear accelerator
- CONSTRUCTED a parking lot at the Blooming Point Beach
